South Korean entertainment industry royalties Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin will soon be parents to a baby boy.

The 40-year-old actress' entertainment agency, MSteam Entertainment, announced the good news, adding that the superstar is expected to give birth in December.

"Son Ye-jin is currently in very good health. She is calmly preparing for childbirth," MSteam Entertainment said Friday.

Son, who has been one of Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40 for four consecutive years from 2019 to 2022, and top drama actor Hyun Bin, met while working on the film "Negotiation." They later became lovers after starring in the blockbuster drama, "Crash Landing on You" in 2019, which followed the story of a South Korean heiress (played by Son) and her secret romance with a high-ranking North Korean military officer (Hyun). Son and Hyun, dubbed "Binjin" by fans, became known as Korea's "couple of the century" following their wedding in March this year.

As usual, fans of the couple rejoiced on Twitter over the good news.

"Binjin things we got this 2022 — yejin drama, hyun bin movie— engagement news— wedding — honeymoon abroad — pregnancy announcement — baby boy being born in decwe are truly so blessed who's doing it like us," one wrote.

Another tweeted: "#HyunBin has been preparing all his life to have a son, and now they will finally meet in December" alongside a gallery of old snaps showing the actor shopping for children's shoes. A text written in one of the snaps supposedly quoted Hyun as saying, 'What I want now is a son. If I have a son I will raise him well. I have a strong desire for it."

A fan tweeted a quote from one of Hyun's previous interviews where he revealed his desire for a family. "If one day i meet a girl who has her own dream & career & is working hard to achieve that, i would be left w/ a good impression, admire her from the bottom of my heart & even fall in love w/ her. i hope my child is a son." Hyun bin's dreams turning into reality," the tweet read.

In June, the "Something in the Rain" actress announced her pregnancy and promised her supporters that she and Hyun "will make sure to protect the valuable life that has come to us."

"Crash Landing on You" is unashamedly fantastical in its plotlines, but has drawn praise for its portrayal of everyday life in the North, even down to accents and words
