The Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival returns to Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York this weekend for its 2018 edition. With performances from artists like Halsey, Future, Kehlani, Sabrina Carpenter and more, there’s music for everyone to enjoy at the two-day event (Aug. 18 and 19). EDM duo Krewella and pop singer-songwriter Kim Petras, who will be hitting the Sun Stage and Beach Stage, respectively, on Saturday, are further proof of that.

“The line-up is insane on Saturday, so before we play we’ll be hopping around watching sets,” Krewella, which consists of sisters Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf, told International Business Times in an email interview. “To be performing as a part of this group of musicians is an honor.”

Specifically, the DJ duo’s excited to watch Kehlani, Petras, Rae Sremmurd, THEY., Halsey and Taylor Bennett at the Billboard event. So much so that they’d love to collaborate with the aforementioned acts, as well. They’ve already done so with Bennett on their song “New World.”

When it comes time for them to perform themselves, fans can expect the unexpected. “Maybe a surprise or two thrown in — besides that, the usual sweat, debauchery, and maximum energy,” Krewella told IBT about what they have planned for their set. One thing attendees should be able to bank on, though, is getting to hear them play “Beggars.” It is one of their favorite songs, after all.

“We’d both have to put ‘Beggars’ at the top of the list,” Krewella said about their favorite song to play at concerts. “It brings out the rage in people, something dormant that shows up only in moments where our fans can truly be uninhibited and unabashed of letting go of everything that causes them to suppress their emotions.”

Petras thought about the same crowd-pleasing reactions when choosing which songs of hers are her favorite to perform live. “I’d say ‘Hillside Boys’ because everybody likes screaming every single word for that one,” she told IBT in an email interview. “And ‘Can’t Do Better.’ That’s another one that everybody screams every single word and it’s amazing.”

Fans attending the event this weekend will see a special performance from her, but Petras isn’t giving anything away about what exactly she has planned. She wants the whole experience to be a surprise.

Besides being excited about the show because it’s “one of the biggest festivals [she’s] done so far,” Petras is looking forward to catching Rae Sremmurd, Bhad Bhabie and Maty Noyes’ sets. Who knows? She might even collaborate with some of those artists down the line. “[Collaborations with] Bhad Bhabie and Rae Sremmurd definitely have to happen,” she said.

Tickets to the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday, are still available, with prices starting at $100 for a two-day pass.
