KEY POINTS

  • “Twilight” lead star Kristen Stewart has an estimated net worth of $70 million
  • The actress is currently the highest-earning LGBTQ star on Netflix
  • Stewart was paid $25 million in base salary for the final “Twilight” installment

Kristen Stewart is most famous for her role as Bella Swan in the “Twilight” movie series. The actress continued to make a name for herself after the franchise wrapped up, and now she is slated to portray the late Princess Diana in the highly anticipated film, “Spencer.”

Stewart is the highest-earning LGBTQ star on Netflix, with films such as “Panic Room,” “American Ultra” and the entire “Twilight” franchise. Stewart’s success in Hollywood has earned her a lucrative net worth of $70 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

Her net worth stomps out other LGBTQ stars on Netflix, including RuPaul and Gillian Anderson. The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” host has an estimated net worth of $60 million while the “X-Files” star, Anderson, has a $40 million net worth.

The “Twilight” star’s massive net worth is mainly due to the success of the movie adaptation. Stewart was paid only $2 million for the first film in 2008. But in 2011 and 2012, the two-part finale of the movie series became massive hits at the box office.

The last film in the franchise, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2,” earned Stewart a lucrative $25 million paycheck and an additional 7.5% of the theatrical gross, Vulture reported. In that same year, Stewart earned another $9.5 million for her role as Snow White in the movie “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

Despite her massive wealth, Stewart has not made a lot of lucrative real estate purchases. But she did spend a hefty amount of money in 2012 when she bought a property in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles for nearly $2.2 million. It was a 3,361-square-foot mansion equipped with four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. The exterior of the home also had a veranda, a swimming pool with a spa, a fire pit and terraced gardens.

In 2013, she purchased another home with a $4.8 million price tag in Malibu. The property was a 6,000-square-foot mansion that she later listed on the market for $9.5 million in September 2020.

Stewart’s newest project, “Spencer,” recently dropped its first official teaser trailer showing the actress’ portrayal of the famous royalty. Despite early criticisms after the announcement of the casting for the movie, the trailer is now proving all the critics wrong with Stewart’s outstanding performance.

The movie is scheduled for release on Nov. 5, 2021.
