The Shiba Inu community is in high spirits following the final live test launch of "Shiba Eternity" in Australia, but the Shib Army became more hyped when Shytoshi Kusama and a Shiba Inu developer teased new details about the highly-anticipated Layer-2 solution Shibarium.

Ethereum's The Merge is a major milestone in the cryptocurrency world and following the successful event, Shiba Inu developer who goes by the Twitter handle @kaaldhairya thanked Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, and his team for their effort.

"Not sure whether to be 🤩 about low gas fees or be 😞about inflation with low burn it should average out in 3-6 months period,I bet SHIB launches will peak gas and burn. Still will take 0.2% inflation any day over ETHPOW, Tnx ⁦@VitalikButerin⁩ love and admire the team," the tweet read.

While the dev did not share anything about Shibarium, a Shib Army raised a question in the Twitter thread, which confirmed one of the major features of the upcoming layer-2 solution. Twitter handle DynoHarry asked the developer if "Shibarium will be used for all the upcoming #SHIB launches," to which the dev replied, "For most yes."

Another interesting Shibarium detail may have come from Shiba Inu's pseudonymous lead developer Kusama over the weekend. Kusama was responding to some comments on the news they shared about the test live launch of "Shiba Eternity" in Australia.

Some of the users were rude toward the lead developer but since it looks like the latter was in a good mood they simply shrug them off. Interestingly, one Twitter user said, "I will probably be 95 years old by the time you actually release shibarium," to which the pseudonymous lead developer repolied, "Happy 94th Birthday!"

Kusama could be just trolling the Twitter user, but if they are serious, then they may have implied that Shibarium could launch in 2023. The layer-2 solution of the Shiba Inu community is anticipated to roll out sometime this year. However, with The Merge just completed, it seems the team will have to wait a little longer until the full transition to proof-of-stake is stable and rid of any issues.

Shibarium is just one of the many projects expected to launch sometime this year or in 2023. SHIB, the native token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, was trading down 10.48% at $0.00001065 with a 24-hour volume of $376,467,848, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
