Lady Gagas's makeup-free photos have proved that the Oscar-winning singer-actress has flawless, radiant skin. But what is Gaga's secret?

Joomee Song, a celebrity esthetician who has worked with the "A Star Is Born" star for years, recently revealed one technique that has helped Gaga keep her skin flawless. Song dished that she uses a special facial massage technique to keep her clients' skin as radiant as possible, even without makeup.

Back in 2016, Gaga told Los Angeles Times that "A Star Is Born" director and co-star Bradley Cooper asked her to remove all her makeup for the screen test of the film. The 32-year-old singer then realized that Cooper wanted her to look that way for the film, with the actor explaining that she should be "completely open" and without artifice.

After the movie came out, viewers got to see Gaga in her bare skin throughout "A Star Is Born," with close-up shots showing a smooth, glowing complexion.

Song explained in an interview with Refinery29 that she helped Gaga achieve this by using various techniques depending on what kind of shots she would be expected to do on any given day.

"If she was going to have close-ups, I would do a scrub with hyaluronic acid or something that would help reduce redness, because she would have to go on camera immediately after [I saw her]," Song, who owns Faceworks Inc, explained.

The esthetician said that she focused on not only removing any redness, but also achieving a luminous glow. However, Song, who also works with other celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, didn't use a physical exfoliator like a sugar scrub or an acid like glycolic or salicylic.

"Instead of acids or granules, I use a piece of gauze as a physical exfoliant and hydrating emollient products to get her glow," she said.

Song explained that the gauze supports the skin with shedding its dead cells by being scraped off the face.

Joomee also helps Gaga avoid any skin redness by using a massage technique called Kaika, which she developed after years of experience in the field. "Immediately, this de-puffs, reduces dark circles, and contours the face, so everything looks tighter and brighter. It really helps your body to produce new cells faster so skin is bright and even," she said of the technique.

Song makes use of both of her fingers and a Japanese microcurrent machine. As for how exactly the massage technique works, she explained that it "basically recharges the mitochondria in your body to promote production of new cells and, [when using it as part of the Kaika technique], relieve tension fast."

She also encouraged anyone interested to try it out at home. Song explained that just massaging around the sinuses, eyes and jaw for five to 10 minutes in the shower would give you a glow that would last for a couple of days.

Just recently, Gaga once again showed off her flawless skin when she went makeup-free for a grocery run, Daily Mail reported.
