Lamar Odom is one of the best unsigned free agents in the NBA, but it appears he may be without a team for quite some time. The professional basketball player is, reportedly, dealing with a drug problem, one that could possibly threaten his career.

TMZ has been reporting on the story, and claimed that Odom has been addicted to crack cocaine for at least two years. The alleged problem has become such an issue that he and wife Khloe Kardashian are separating, according to the Web site.

Odom’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, has denied rumors that his client is missing. He told ESPN.com, "Lamar is not missing. His wife knows exactly where he is."

Even if Odom isn’t missing, it appears that he needs help. According to ESPN.com, Odom is in a hotel with people who are trying to get him help for his drug issue. The TMZ report started that Odom went to rehab a year ago and cleaned up his act, but started using again after his team, the Los Angeles Clippers, was knocked out of the playoffs.

Schwartz says Odom still wants to play in the NBA. That is looking like a less likely possibility as the days go by. He is only 34 years old, but the forward’s play has grown much worse over the past two years. After being traded from the L.A. Lakers in 2011, he struggled to find a rhythm with the Dallas Mavericks, and left the team before the season ended. In 2012-2013, he put up the worst numbers of his career, averaging 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Odom has won two championships in his 14-year career, but he achieved increased notoriety for his personal life. The veteran married Kardashian in 2009 and has been featured on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Eventually, he and his wife got their own reality TV show.
