“The Odd Couple” actor Thomas Lennon is adding more comedy in next week’s episode of “Lethal Weapon.”

Lennon is set to make his debut appearance as Leo Getz in Season 1, episode 15 of the FOX buddy cop series, and based on the preview clip for the installment, it seems that viewers are going to love his portrayal of the character which was originally played by Joe Pesci in “Lethal Weapon” films.

The character of Getz first appeared in 1989’s “Lethal Weapon 2” and returned for 1992’s “Lethal Weapon 3” and 1998’s “Lethal Weapon 4.” Getz’s job varies by film. He’s a banker in “Lethal Weapon 2,” a real estate agent in “Lethal Weapon 3” and a private Investigator in “Lethal Weapon 4.” Lennon’s version of the character, on the other hand, is an ambulance-chasing attorney who happens to be the key witness to a murder related to the Cartel.

According to the synopsis for the episode, aptly titled “As Good As It Getz,” Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) and Riggs (Clayne Crawford) are forced to work with DEA agent Palmer (Hilarie Burton) once again to protect Getz from the Cartel. As the trio’s investigation goes deeper, they start to realize that Getz may not be the only one with a target on his back.

Also in the episode, Riggs starts to see agent Palmer in a new light, while Murtaugh is left troubled after Trish (Keesha Sharp) makes an impulsive decision.

The episode marks Burton’s return to the series. The “One Tree Hill” alum made her first appearance on the show in Season 1, episode 7, titled “Fashion Police.” In the said installment, Murtaugh and Riggs met her for the first time while investigating the murder of a fashion expeditor that was later revealed to be connected to a case she has been working on for years.

“Lethal Weapon” Season 1, episode 15 airs on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
