Singer Lizzo met Chris Brown backstage and called him "my favorite person in the whole world" before asking for a photo. However, Lizzo's excitement for Brown didn't go well with fans, considering his legal battles.

One of the fans took to Twitter on Sunday to share a video of Lizzo and Brown meeting backstage. "Lizzo asked Chris Brown for a picture in new video: 'Can I get a picture with you because you’re my favorite person in the whole f--king world.'"

In the video, the 33-year-old singer could be seen posing solo with Brown and then her crew members also joined for a group photo.

Lizzo was at the Millennium Tour, which was held Sunday at Selland Arena at Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center, Fresno, California. Many celebrities attended the tour as special guests including Brown, Snoop Dogg and Jermaine DuPri.

After the footage emerged, fans immediately took to the comments section on Twitter to share their opinion. Many of them criticized Lizzo for her love for Brown.

One of the fans wrote, "Dude I know but she wants to be accepted n like so bad... its just sad now," while another fan commented, "Son she can't take a pic with one of her fav artist because all hate him?? Ridiculous , leave her alone."

A user wrote that this is the first "embarrassing thing" that they have seen Lizzo do. Another user shared the group photo in a separate tweet:

There were many users who pointed out that others who have collaborated with the "Loyal" singer have done so without the same criticism Lizzo is receiving.

In 2009, Brown was found guilty of assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Another ex-girlfriend, actress Karrueche Tran, accused the singer of threatening and physically abusing her in 2017.

In 2019, Brown was accused of raping a woman in Paris. The singer was taken into custody but later released as the charges were dropped.

On the work front, Lizzo will lend her voice in a TV series, "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder," which is currently under post-production. Brown, on the other hand, will be next seen in a sports drama movie, "Phenom," which is currently under pre-production.
