Lizzo has dropped a music video for her single "Special," and it shows her as a caped superhero singing about self-love and mutual support.

The music video for the upbeat track, released just in time for Black History Month, opens with the 34-year-old singer flying through the sky in her black and purple superhero outfit. She descends into her room, removes her superhero outfit and tries to get some sleep as if ending her duties for the day.

She then sings, "Woke up this morning to somebody in a video / Talking about something I posted in a video / If it wasn't me then would you even get offended? / Or Is it just because I'm Black and heavy?"

Lizzo is later shown as a waitress who suddenly transforms into her secret superhero persona to save a child from being hit by a car. Later, she tries to stop muggers from stealing a girl's purse and rescues an infant from a burning building. She does all these while singing, "I'm used to feeling alone, oh / So I thought that I'd let you know / In case nobody told you today / You're special (special) / In case nobody made you believe / You're special (special)."

Lizzo's supporters took to the video's comments section and praised the singer for her latest creative exploit.

One person wrote, "This is such an incredible song and this music video is so beautiful! LIZZO YOU OUTDID YOURSELF YET AGAIN!!!"

Another person said, "This song literally helped me. I started to go to therapy and have been on antidepressants to help manage my depression. Thank you Lizzo. I wouldn't be here today without you."

The three-minute music video was directed by award-winning cinematographer Christian Breslauer. The track is included in her fourth album, also called "Special," which was released in July 2022.

The first single from the album, "About Damn Time," was pre-released in April 2022 and became a viral hit on TikTok. The track's music video, which was also directed by Breslauer, shows attending a "stressed and sexy" support group seminar. Later, she struts down the hallway and looks into a mirror where she sees an edgier version of herself.

Lizzo also created a buzz Tuesday when she showed off her Madame Tussauds wax figure in a clip she uploaded on Twitter.

"Single-handedly one of the most terrifyingly meta moments of my life. Thank you @MadameTussauds - now I know what a twosome with Lizzo is like," she captioned the video, in which she can be seen having a fun moment with her wax figure.

Lizzo will attend the 65th Grammy Awards, where she is nominated in six categories including Song of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. She is also set to perform at the awards show, according to Rolling Stone.
