‘Long Island Medium’ 2016 Premiere Date Revealed; Find Out Which Celebrities Will Appear In New Season Of TLC Series [VIDEO]

She’s baaack -- and she’s ready to talk to the dead. Theresa Caputo of “Long Island Medium” will return with a new season of the hit TLC in January 2016! But for those fans who just can’t wait to reunite with their favorite New Yorker, we have some good news for you.

According to reports, the reality series will hit the small screen on Tuesday, Dec. 1, for a one-hour holiday special. During the Season 8 installment, Theresa will “give the gift of closure and peace” to families who have lost a loved one throughout the holiday season.

In the upcoming episode, Theresa will reunite a family with their father who died of a heart attack. But in addition to her scheduled sessions, the medium will also channel spirits in unexpected places -- like at the airport.

But reaching out to spirits is a time consuming task! That’s why Theresa will ask her Aunt Gina for some help in preparing for the holidays, which is when she’ll “encounter another spirit in the process,” a press release for the holiday special reveals.

The forthcoming installment of "Long Island Medium" will be just as exciting. According to reports, Season 8 will feature several celebrity readings including “Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons, “Devious Maids” actress Susan Lucci, “Sopranos” star Jamie-Lynn Sigler along with other big names from both the big and small screen.

“The new season is also packed with a lot of firsts for Theresa,” the press release notes, adding that Theresa will partake in readings solely for children as well as “read people whose lives were turned upside down in the line of duty -- some of them by the devastating events of Sept. 11.”

But in addition to the gut-wrenching moments, fans can also expect a lot of laughs as Theresa and the Caputo family pack their bags for Florida “to explore the possibility of living there during the winter months. ”

“Long Island Medium” will air its hour-long holiday special on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 9 p.m. EST on TLC and begin its new season on Sunday, Jan. 3, at 9 p.m. EST.
