On the same day that Ford is expected to launch the 2021 F-150 pickup truck, Lordstown Motors is unveiling its electrified Endurance pickup truck live.

Lordstown will take the wraps off the Endurance at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday, live streaming the event on its YouTube channel.

In attendance at the reveal will be Vice President Mike Pence, U.S. Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette, and Lordstown CEO Steve Burns.

Lordstown previously had plans to introduce the Endurance at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in April, which was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Details on the Endurance pickup truck include a 250-mile driving range on a single charge with 10-hour charge time. The all-electric truck has seating capacity for five and a 7,500-towing capacity.

The powertrain on the truck develops 600 horsepower and drives power to four hub electric motors equipped with custom in-hub motor brakes. The package is round out by 20-inch wheels

Top speed on the Endurance is 80 mph. The truck can traverse 30% grades and has a three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty with an eight-year battery warranty.

Base price on the truck is $52,500. Lordstown is currently taking preorders for the Endurance with a $100 deposit.

Lordstown will produce the Endurance at its Lordstown, Ohio, plant – a former General Motors facility.

Burns said in an update about the truck’s production that "The progress made so far is a testament to the fact that we started in a fully equipped 6 million square foot plant, which meant we were able to get to work right away creating the lines we need to build the Endurance."
