With Independence Day comes the 43rd annual "Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular." The two-hour Fourth of July event, which will feature a ton of beautiful, dazzling explosions, will take place in the New York area. However, if you are interested in watching the 2019 show from the comfort of your own home, the brilliant fireworks will also be broadcast live. So, how, when, and where can you watch it?

After you've concluded your daytime July 4 celebrations, the evening will be kickstarted by the awe-inspiring display. “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will light up the New York City skyline once again with the nation’s best and largest Independence Day celebration,” executive producer Susan Tercero said in a press release, as reported by NBC New York.

Continuing, she added, "We are excited to once again work with our partners in the City of New York to make the iconic Brooklyn Bridge the star of our show."

It is suggested that you arrive early in order to secure your spot if you are going to be viewing the show in person. You can find a list of official viewing points on the Macy's website.

The fireworks display is set to begin around 9:20 p.m. EST on July 4. However, the pre-show for this year's spectacle will begin at 8 p.m. and will be hosted by Ciara and Derek Hough. Featured artists will include Luke Bryan, Khalid, Maren Morris, and Brad Paisley, as well as a special rendition of "Over the Rainbow" sung by "American Idol" alum Jennifer Hudson to commemorate the 80th anniversary of "The Wizard of Oz."

The program will air live from the Brooklyn Bridge area in New York, which will mark the first time it has been at the location since 2014. The show will include a 1,600-foot-long waterfall of pyrotechnics that runs the length of the bridge towers and more than 70,000 effects that will be launched from the surrounding barges.

For those unable to make it to New York to see the show in person, you can watch "Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" during the NBC broadcast on TV or stream it on the network's website. Viewers who choose the online platform will need a cable provider's login information in order to view the stream.

"With a barrage of stunning shells and effects launching from its grand span and towers, along with tens of thousands more effects coloring the night from barges on the lower East River, this year's display promises to be a spectacle to remember," added Tercero.

"Macy's 4th of July Firework Spectacular" will air on Thursday, July 4, at 8 p.m. EST. For more information about this year's event, hop over to the event website or call Macy’s Fireworks Hotline at (212) 494-4495.
