Mama June Shannon wants to start the new year right by getting rid of all the negativity. To do this, she said she's "cutting toxic things out of my life forever."

On Saturday, the reality star took to social media to recap her 2022 before sharing her aspirations for 2023. Mama June uploaded a video on her Instagram and accompanied it with a lengthy caption, detailing her plans for the new year.

In the video, the "Mama June: Road To Redemption" star addressed her fans, telling them that so many things happened to her in the past year. However, the highlight of her 2022 was getting married to the "man of my dreams." According to her, she never thought she would find the one for her anymore.

The 43-year-old TV personality secretly tied the knot with 34-year-old tattoo artist Justin Stroud at a Georgia courthouse back in March. Surprisingly, her daughters, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, 22, and Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, 17, were not invited.

In an interview with E! News in July, Mama June's daughters broke their silence on her surprise wedding. Pumpkin revealed that when she asked her mom about it, she initially denied it. That's why they were shocked when she confirmed her marriage with Stroud.

"We didn't know about it. I actually got a receipt in my P.O. Box that said she had applied for a marriage certificate. Then I asked her about it just recently. She denied it. And then eventually she was like, 'Oh, I got married,' and we were very, very shocked," Pumpkin said.

As for Alana, she admitted she was surprised by the sudden wedding of her mom because the latter had told her she would never get married. But she also acknowledged that her mom had changed drastically.

In her caption for her recent post, Mama June said she's not letting the "negativity" bring her down this 2023 as she's determined to "show the world [that] I'm back b---hes bigger and better than ever before."

Mama June added that she's dealt with a lot of trauma in her life and that she's learned her lesson. She noted that she's "cutting toxic things out of my life forever" to be a better person this new year.

The We TV reality star also tackled her broken relationship with her daughters, especially with her youngest daughter, Alana. She shared that she's working on mending her relationship with them and that it's "going good so far."

In October, Honey Boo Boo dropped a bombshell on TikTok when she revealed to fans that Mama June hasn't been communicating with her and Pumpkin. "She doesn't really speak to us," the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star said when one fan asked how their mom was doing.
