A woman in India has filed a complaint against her father-in-law for sexually harassing her and forcing her to drink chicken's blood.

The 33-year-old victim from Pune, a city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, alleged that her father-in-law forced himself on her under the instructions of a self-proclaimed Godman to get her pregnant as her husband is impotent. She also said her husband and father-in-law forced her to drink chicken blood as part of the black magic ritual, reported India Today.

Based on the victim's complaint, the police have arrested the duo. A case has been registered against the victim's mother-in-law after the victim also complained of physical and mental torture by her in-laws since her marriage in 2018.

"They (the couple) have been living separately for the past four months after being married since December 30, 2018. We will investigate all claims made in the complaint. We have arrested the two,” Jitendra Kadam, an investigating officer said, reported Latest LY.

The victim claimed that she was tricked into believing her husband was an engineer and the family hid her husband’s impotence from her. When she found out about it and told her relatives, she was physically assaulted by her in-laws, the woman complained.

The police have registered the case on charges of using black magic against the victim and have started an investigation.

Last month, a 21-year-old woman in India was allegedly raped by her cousin while her husband recorded the video of the assault on his phone. The unidentified woman from Shajapur, a city in the state of Madhya Pradesh, was reportedly assaulted when she accompanied her husband to a village near the city of Bhopal to meet an occult practitioner to cure her infertility.

The victim said her aunt locked her inside a room with her husband and the cousin where she was sexually assaulted. When the woman complained to her in-laws about the incident, they reportedly threatened her. The police registered a case of rape and criminal conspiracy against the suspects after the victim's family eventually filed a complaint at the police.
