A 27-year-old man attacked a woman and set her as well as a house on fire in Texas. The woman was found "with severe burns on her face and body," officials said.

Ynez Spencer, who reportedly presented himself as an actor, was arrested and charged for the domestic dispute that unfolded in Lubbock.

The incident took place Monday at a house on Elgin Avenue. Lubbock Fire Rescue responded at around 1:40 p.m. and arrived at the house that was set ablaze.

The Lubbock Police Department also arrived at the same location after receiving a "domestic disturbance" report, according to NewsChannel10.

Responders found a woman outside the burning house with critical injuries. She had "severe burns on her face and body," according to an affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com.

The woman was provided with medical attention at the scene.

Officials said Spencer was involved in a physical dispute with the victim and had struck her multiple times during the incident. Spencer also used some sort of weapon to stab or slice her upper leg.

The victim told cops that Spencer poured a flammable substance over her and then lit her on fire. He also set the house ablaze before leaving the premises.

The arrest warrant said the victim then ran to a neighbor and asked for help. She also told another neighbor that Spencer was the one behind the attack.

Spencer is accused of "stabbing or slicing her in the upper left leg with an unknown edged weapon," the affidavit said.

He then "poured some sort of flammable substance" on her and the house before sparking a fire and running away, according to the victim's account provided in the affidavit.

The victim suffered serious bodily injury and permanently disfiguring burns, officials said.

Spencer was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He remained at the Lubbock County Detention Center on Tuesday on a bond of $500,000.

The accused man described himself as an actor and had performed in a local community theater, according to the outlet. In addition to making at least one brief appearance in the Television show called "Chicago PD," Spencer has also appeared in local commercials made in Lubbock.
