Mariah Carey and ex-husband Nick Cannon may have parted ways, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t wish him well. The diva recently reached out to her former flame after he welcomed his son with Brittany Bell to give him her congratulations.

According to a new E! News report, Carey has reportedly sent her heartfelt congratulations to Cannon when she found out the good news that her ex’s son has arrived. This marks the third for Cannon, who shares twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe with the “We Belong Together” singer.

A source dished to the publication that Cannon also told his older children about their new half-brother prior to the latter’s arrival. “Nick told both of his other kids about the baby and that they will have a new sibling,” said the insider. “Mariah has been aware of the baby for a while now and she congratulated him. They are on fine terms and continue to be good parents for their children.”

On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the former “America’s Got Talent” host and Bell welcomed their baby boy, whom they named Golden “Sagon” Cannon. He immediately took to Instagram to share the happy news with his followers and to proudly show off his third child. In the caption of the black and white photo, he expressed his happiness over the birth of his baby boy, writing: “Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning! No matter how hard the world may hit you, God always reminds us of our purpose! #TrueHappiness Welcome to Earth Son! Golden ‘Sagon’ Cannon 2/21/17 #Awakened.”

Despite their divorce, Carey and Cannon have maintained a good relationship with each other and co-parent their children. This includes making sure that they spend most holidays together and celebrate every milestone involving their children as a family. In November last year, the family reunited to spend Thanksgiving together just less than a month after Carey and Cannon finalized their divorce.

“We'll always be family,” Cannon during a guest appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “We make the kids the number one priority, for them to see their parents together and for everybody to get along and have a great time. ... It's all about unconditional love. ...They know mommy and daddy still love each other but, more importantly, they love us.”

Meanwhile, Carey has been having a blast with her new boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka. On Valentine’s Day, the singer shared a photo from her intimate celebration of the occasion with the backup dancer. The snapshot showed the couple enjoying a soak in a jacuzzi.
