In a case of murder-suicide, an elderly man fatally shot his relative before killing himself. The incident took place in Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday (May 13).

According to local reports, Baltimore Police responded to the 300 block of E. University Parkway on Wednesday evening after receiving reports of gunshots. The officers found an 84-year-old man lying in a pool of blood. The unidentified elderly man, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head, was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

In the meantime, police found another man with multiple gunshot wounds. The 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined that the 84-year-old man shot his younger relative multiple times before turning the weapon on himself during an argument.

The investigation into the incident was ongoing and the relationship between the two men was not revealed.

In an unrelated incident, officers responded to the 400 block of E. 21st St. in the Barclay neighborhood in North Baltimore on Wednesday night after receiving a shooting report. The officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. The 32-year-old man was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Investigation was ongoing and the condition of the man was not known.

In a similar incident that took place at a home in Lanham, Maryland, last week, a man fatally shot his girlfriend’s relative, wounded another woman before killing himself. Officers responded to the home and found a man, later identified as 54-year-old Kevin Darryl Ballard, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and a woman, 23-year-old Tai Hilliard. Both of them died at the scene. Another woman, who was found at the home with a gunshot wound, was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators determined that the man shot and killed Hilliard, wounded the other woman before turning the weapon on himself. All of them lived in the same home and the man was in a relationship with Hilliard’s relative. Investigation was ongoing and the circumstance that led to the shooting was not known.
