Maya Hawke revealed she turned her father, actor Ethan Hawke into a Taylor Swift fan by playing one of the artist's music tracks on her guitar.

The 24-year-old actress, who is popularly known for playing Robin Buckley's character in the Netflix series "Stranger Things," shared that her father has been a great influence when it comes to music as he had introduced her to many songs and artists for her to "still listen to, and love and care about."

Maya admitted during an interview with The Line of Best Fit over the weekend that it took her a long time to show Ethan something that he didn't already know. However, things changed when she played Swift's song, "Ours" from her 2010 album, "Speak Now," on the guitar for her father.

"'Ours' was the first Taylor Swift song that I played for him on guitar," Maya recalled. "He was like, 'Who wrote that?', and I was like, 'Taylor Swift!' He told me he thought it was a really good song, and I was like, 'Oh, my god, I just brought something to my dad that he didn't know, and he likes – and I like!' It made me feel so confident."

Maya shared that following this moment, her dad decided to take her to the "Speak Now" tour which was held from Feb. 9, 2011, to March 18, 2012. "It was such a happy moment," Maya added. "Sharing an experience with someone who put so much energy into cultivating."

The actress further shared how her father is looking forward to Swift's upcoming album, "Midnights," which will mark the singer's 10th studio album.

"I got a text from him [Ethan] when Taylor announced Midnight and he was like, 'Oh my god, Taylor Swift already has a new record coming out? I'm so excited! She re-released Red, and now there's Midnight? How does she do it?'" Maya shared.

Swift made a surprise announcement of her upcoming album at the 2022 VMAs after she won the Video of the Year award for the 10-minute version of "All Too Well." The 32-year-old singer revealed that the new album will be released on Oct. 21.
