The Mega Millions lottery drawing on Friday did not yield any winners for the $256 million jackpot. However, there were several smaller wins that resulted from the night.

The winning Mega Millions numbers pulled on Friday, Aug. 20, were 41, 43, 51, 57, 70, with a gold Mega Ball of 1. The Megaplier was 2X.

The unclaimed jackpot was worth an estimated $256 million with a cash option of $186.5 million. The next lottery drawing for the Mega Millions will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 11 p.m. ET.

While there wasn’t a grand prize winner from the Friday night pull, a player from Virginia hit the Match 5 and won $2 million. Meanwhile, a player from Rhode Island hit the Match 5 with the 2X Megaplier, also winning $2 million.

There were 22 players that hit the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball who won $10,000 each. However, there were nine players who hit the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball with the 2X Megaplier, winning $20,000. Other players from the night won prizes ranging from $2 to $500.

Mega Millions players who hit the lottery jackpot have the option of receiving their winnings through either a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity.

Those who choose the annuity receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, which increase by 5% each year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
