The Tuesday Mega Millions drawing did not produce a winner for the $154 million jackpot. The unclaimed prize will now grow to $189 million for Friday's drawing.

The Mega Millions winning numbers were 5, 13, 29, 38, and 59, with a gold Mega Ball of 23. The Megaplier was 4X. The cash value of the jackpot was $74.2 million.

There may have been no jackpot winners for the Tuesday drawing, but there were four instant millionaires. A player in Georgia, Maryland, and New York each won $1 million.

Meanwhile, a ticket holder in Illinois managed to match five numbers with the Megaplier and increased their prize to $4 million.

Additionally, there were 27 players who won the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball, winning $10,000 each. However, none of the players purchased a Megaplier and missed out on their chance to win a $40,000 prize.

The other wins from Tuesday ranged between $2 and $2,000.

The latest Mega Millions jackpot comes after a player in Florida claimed a $1 million winning ticket months after purchasing it for the July 26 drawing.

The man bought the ticket at an Exxon gas station in Dania Beach. The business will also receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

When Mega Millions jackpot winners claim their winnings, they can receive the prize through either a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity.

Those who select the annuity receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. ET.
