Meghan Markle has reportedly already been baptized and confirmed as an Anglican.

According to Richard Kay, the "Suits" star's baptism's was a closely-guarded secret with only a handful of royal aides involved. The intimate 45-minute service was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury at the Chapel Royal on Tuesday evening.

Markle was immediately confirmed after her baptism. Thus, she can now join Prince Harry at the Holy Communion.

Markle's baptism has formally introduced her into the Anglican faith ahead of her royal wedding to Prince Harry. The "Horrible Bosses" star reportedly opted to be baptized and confirmed as Anglican to show respect to Queen Elizabeth II, but it was not necessary to marry Prince Harry.

The monarch also holds the title "Defender of the Faith and Supreme Governor of the Church of England." Her Majesty's website states that: "These titles date back to the reign of King Henry VIII, who was initially granted the title 'Defender of the Faith' in 1521 by Pope Leo X. When Henry VIII renounced the spiritual authority of the Papacy in 1534 he was proclaimed 'supreme head on earth' of the Church of England."

Markle's parents were expected to attend her baptism. In fact, it would be the first time for Prince Harry to meet his future father-in-law Thomas Markle. The two gentlemen have not met face to face yet.

However, the Duke has already met the "Dater's Handbook" star's mom, Doria Radlan, in several occasions. In fact, they were photographed together in September during the closing ceremony of Invictus Games in Toronto.

Thomas and Radlan are divorced, but both are supportive of Markle's romance with Prince Harry. In fact, they released a joint statement following Prince Harry and Markle's engagement announcement in November.

"We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents," Thomas and Ragland said at the time. "We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together."
