Meghan Markle faced harsh criticism for making people believe that she left Archie behind when she watched Serena Williams’ game at the U.S. Open finals.

Williams just confessed that Markle actually took Archie with her when the former “Suits” star flew to New York to support her at the U.S. Open finals. According to the athlete, contrary to what was reported that the Duchess of Sussex left her son home, the royal mom actually flew with her newborn.

Prince Harry’s wife was slammed for not informing the press that Archie traveled with her. In fact, many accused her of being fake because in one engagement she said in her speech that she needed to rush home to feed Archie. Several questioned her because in their knowledge, Markle left her child at home and flew to the Big Apple to watch her friend’s tennis game.

“#MeghanMarkle said she needed to leave to feed Archie, but who was feeding him when she was in NYC for two days, watching tennis, enjoying the city and hanging out with her celebrity friends?” one netizen wrote on Twitter.

“People! It was a PR stunt to send #MeghanMarkle to Serenas Tennis finale, as it was a PR stunt to say at the #SmartWork lunch that she needed to get home quick to feed her child,” a different critic commented.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared his thoughts why Markle kept Archie a secret during her New York trip last September. According to him, it could be down to Markle’s wish for privacy.

“Meghan naturally wanted privacy during that brief visit and so the press weren’t told. As we know there is phenomenal global interest in Archie so total privacy made total sense,” Fitzwilliams told Express.

A few days ago, Markle shared her son’s newmilestones. According to the duchess, Archie got two teeth. Markle also talked to Amy Thompson, another mom, about weaning and children beginning to crawl. According to Thompson, Markle was a normal mother just like most moms and added that during their conversation she felt like she was talking to a friend.
