Prince Philip might have made the most outrageous reaction concerning Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s shocking announcement.

On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex rocked the royals and the world when they announced that they are stepping back from their royal rules. Prince Harry and Markle said that they will continue to collaborate with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Prince William. They also stated that they will be working to be financially independent.

According to Express, the royal family was surprised. However, the most outrageous reaction might have come from Prince Philip. The Duke of Edinburgh is known for his ill-temper.

When it comes to scandals hitting the royal family the 97-year-old royal usually has the strongest responses because “he doesn’t like other people bringing his wife, the Queen, into disrepute.”

For instance, when Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson was photographed sunbathing topless with John Bryan kissing her feet in 1992, Prince Philip was livid. In fact, according to Katie Nicholl in Channel 5 documentary “The Royal Family at War,” Prince Philip and Ferguson’s relationship drastically changed following the incident which was called by many as the toegate scandal.

“Up until that point, Fergie had enjoyed warm rapport with her father-in-law but from that moment on the Duke of Edinburgh never forgave Sarah for the embarrassment and humiliation that she had reaped,” Nicholl explained.

“Sarah was never welcomed at Balmoral again, she was never welcomed at Christmas with the Royal Family again. She was an outcast.”

In 2018, Prince Philip and Ferguson were caught in a sticky situation because the Duchess of York visited the Queen in Balmoral. However, the Duke of Edinburgh arrived earlier than expected forcing Ferguson to leave the Queen’s estate because Prince Philip reportedly can’t bear to be in the same room as her.

Prince Philip also had a shocking outburst with one of the royal photographers. According to Kent Gavin, his hostile encounter with the duke happened when he was at the Windsor Great Park. Prince Philip reportedly approached him and shouted at him, “Get off my land!” and added, “I don’t want you here.” The duke also muttered obscenities.
