Meghan Markle and Kylie Jenner had an unexpected twinning moment.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star was spotted wearing Maggie Marilyn’s Leap of Faith cotton-twill dress. The Duchess of Sussex was previously seen rocking the outfit when she visited New Zealand with Prince Harry in October, Harper’s Bazaar reported.

Markle usually wears wardrobes designed by local designers when she visits a country. She shares this practice with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton. However, Princess Diana didn’t do this. The late Princess of Wales stuck to her favorite British designers no matter where her tour was.

In this photo, Jenner took cues from Markle and donned the outfit from the New Zealand-based designer on New Year’s Eve. However, there were a few differences in their chic blazer dresses.

Markle altered the style to her own specifications. The duchess’s version was sleeveless. On the other hand, the “Life of Kylie” star kept the sleeves in her tuxedo dress. However, they were much shorter than the original version.

Jenner and Markle both made it into Lyst’s most powerful fashion influencers of 2018 with the reality start topping the list. The Duchess of Sussex made it to the third spot next to Jenner’s sister, Kim Kardashian.

Markle was also included in Lyst’s most powerful fashion influencers in 2017. She was at the fourth spot while her sister-in-law Kate Middleton lagged behind at the fifth spot. This year, the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t make it into the top 10 as she was down to no. 16.

Markle used to break the royals’ dress code prior to marrying Prince Harry. She was spotted wearing black pants, she didn’t wear nude stockings and she opted for jeans and blouses. However, she changed her manner of dressing when she officially became a royal.

Markle dressed like Middleton when she made her first engagement as an official royal. She arrived at Prince Charles’ garden party wearing Goat’s rose-pink Flavia pencil dress tailored with a bodice, pencil skirt and silk-chiffon yoke and sleeves. Many noticed that her outfit was reminiscent of the Duchess of Cambridge’s ensemble when Middleton attended her first garden party in 2012.
