Meghan Markle made a slight change in her fashion now that she’s pregnant.

The Duchess of Sussex still looks very stylish even with her growing baby bump. However, many didn’t notice that this time, Markle actually opts for more snug footwear. Yes, the pregnant royal has been slowly ditching her high heels for more comfortable alternatives.

“We can see a transformation in Meghan’s footwear, as she is slowly ditching those high heel shoes for those closer to ground heights; pumps and lace front hiker boots have been spotted on the Duchess more recently,” Julia Aitken, of Stanwells Boutique, told Express.co.uk.

For instance, Markle wore a pair of shoes that she already owned for years when she visited Smart Works. This suggests that the pair may be the most comfortable option she has at present. During the said visit, Markle shared how one woman rejected a bag she donated after offering the purse to her. The former “Suits” star confessed that she found the item great, but the other woman didn’t think the same.

Aitken is impressed that Markle didn’t really deviate from her classic style during her pregnancy. The expert added that Markle stuck to her favorite colors including navy blue with highlights of forest green or Burgundy.

“Her clever addition of a statement coat throughout her pregnancy, such as a checked or taupe swing style, adds an on-trend ’90s edge to her maternity wardrobe,” Aitkens noted.

Fashion blogger Christine Ross stated earlier that Markle would not copy Kate Middleton’s pregnancy style. She felt that Prince Harry’s wife would stay true to the elegant, clean lines and simple cuts that she always preferred.

“Meghan loves a modern, urban style whereas Kate loves her country look,” Ross said.

Unlike Markle, the Duchess of Cambridge preferred the empire and maternity waistlines that accentuate a growing baby bump. Many also loved Middleton’s fashion when she was pregnant.

In related news, royal commentators Kaitlin Menza and Lisa Ryan said in their “Royally Obsessed” podcast that Middleton may want another baby after Markle gives birth to her firstborn because the Duchess of Sussex’s delivery will be a big thing.
