Meghan Markle is reportedly not very well-liked or even popular amongst more than a few circles, however, a royal expert claims that she shouldn’t be blamed when it comes to the friendships Prince Harry no longer seems to value since he became a married man.

In a segment, royal correspondent Melanie Bromley revealed that not only is Markle “sticking around” in her husband’s life, but that it’s upsetting she keeps being blamed for the fact that he isn’t still friends with some of the same people since he tied the knot because it was only natural for his friendships to change as he shifted from life as a Bachelor.

“Megan is sticking around for good,” she said (via Express UK). “Here’s the thing, Harry’s life has changed dramatically. He was massively social on the London scene. He was a person that was holding parties, he was hanging around with Guy Pelly and all of these people that were just partying a lot. He has definitely stopped that.”

“And I know that there are some friendships that have not necessarily survived while he has got married and there has been this change in his life. But this is normal,” she added. “And it does annoy me that she is getting the blame for it because actually Harry is the one that decided it was the time to settle down and fell in love.”

In addition to getting married, Prince Harry’s life has also changed in another big way, as he recently became a father for the first time, after Markle delivered their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6.

It has been reported that Markle has forbidden her husband from still seeing some of his old friends and is eager to keep some distance between them and her husband. In fact, some reports have claimed that as the couple decides on their son’s godparents, Markle will likely veto any of her husband’s picks if they involve his friends.

“I suspect there is going to be a nod to, obviously, both the Spencer family—Diana's, his mother’s, family—and also the Royal family,” royal expert Gavin Grey said. “Then, of course, there are the friends but Harry’s friends have in the past rather led him astray and rumors reached me that Meghan is rather keen to put some space between him and those close friends.”
