Prince Harry and Meghan Markle followed Prince Charles and Princess Diana's PDA at a polo match.

On Thursday, Markle made a surprise appearance at the Sentebale polo match to support her husband. Prince Harry played for the event. Following the game, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised many when they kissed publicly.

According to Good Housekeeping, they are not actually the first royals to do so. Prince Charles and Princess Diana were also photographed kissing after the Prince of Wales' polo matches. In fact, the publication insinuated that the act was set by Prince Harry's parents.

The publication shared several snaps of Princess Diana and Prince Charles sharing a few pecks after the latter's polo games. In several instances, One photo featured the two royals sharing a smooch while holding a trophy. The second snap shows the future king holding the late royal's arm as he kissed her on the cheek.

This is not the first time that Prince Harry and Markle kissed publicly. In fact, they were photographed locking lips even before they got married.

Back in May 2017, the new duchess attended a polo match where Prince Harry was one of the participants. After the game, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen hugging and kissing before Markle left the venue.

Also, they were seen on the same affectionate gesture during the closing ceremony of Invictus Games in October 2017. On the said event, the duke invited Markle and her mom, Doria Ragland. Prince Harry and Markle were seen dancing and laughing and kissing.

Prince Harry and Markle are not shy when it comes to showing PDAs. However, the duke is more reserved when they are in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II.

In June, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined Her Majesty for the Queen's Young Leaders Awards ceremony. Prince Harry was caught on video ignoring his wife's effort to hold hands.

People believed that Prince Harry declined to show PDA because he "knows the drills when his grandmother, the Queen is around." The royals are discouraged from showing holding hands whenever they are in an official business.

Just days later after the said event, Prince Harry and Markle were seen at a reception in London and they were holding hands again.
