The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to renovation to their home, Frogmore Cottage. The five-bedroom home already received an interior upgrade in anticipation of their son Archie Harrison's arrival, People reports. Now, the couple is looking to upgrade the exterior of the Windsor property.

After royal biographer Ingrid Seward described the home as "pretty dilapidated", it is easy to see why renovations were a necessity. The historic home's exterior doors, windows, and walls will receive some redecorating. Some of the outbuildings will also be upgraded. But, that's not all. The property will receive some extra outdoor lighting and re-landscaping as well.

Renovations aren't stopping this new mom from making other plans, though. Sources reveal that Markle is planning a trip to New York City this summer with Archie. Presumably to visit friends who haven't had the chance to meet the royal baby just yet. There are no reports on when the renovation will be complete but if the family gets lucky they will return from their trip to a beautifully refinished home.

The parents of royal baby Archie Harrison were living in Kensington Palace before announcing their move to Frogmore Cottage in November.
