Meghan Markle is reportedly frustrated with royal life and created her own American PR team.

The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly concerned that the public will turn against her after negative reports about her. Markle’s estranged relationship with her father, alleged rift with Prince William and Kate Middleton, and taking private jets while claiming to be an eco-warrior have been on the headlines for weeks.

Markle is reportedly working a tight-knit group of non-royal advisers that she considers “her people.”

“Meghan is creating a team that is not bogged down by the traditions and regulations of the Palace to work for her and Harry on passion projects,” a source told The Sun. “She had been seeking advice from the PR company Sunshine Sachs privately for weeks but decided to officially hire them for the launch of her Vogue Magazine guest edit. Even thought it was the UK version of the mag, she wanted maximum coverage in America, which is the country she really cares about in terms of the media.”

Markle is reportedly working with attorney Rick Genow, business manager Andrew Meyer and talent agent Nick Collins for her future projects. However, another royal source said that it’s worrying because Markle’s children’s book would usually be handled by Palace staff.

“But she’s learning how different life inside the Royal Family is compared to her previous career. There are times she feels frustrated.”

The source said that it was shocking for a royal to express herself that way as it sounded like she’s a celebrity wanting to publicize a new album or movie. There is no question about Markle’s knowledge on social media and PR because she was a celebrity before she married Prince Harry.

Another royal insider said that it was Markle’s way of getting a Hollywood answer to a question that she’s not hearing what she wants to from the palace. However, the move is dangerous as there’s a reason why courtiers and advisers treat the members of the royal family differently. The royals are not celebrities and they are publicly funded figures with a formal role.

The insider said that the royals need to hear the truth even if it’s not the answer they want. Unfortunately, this is something that Prince Harry does not like and Markle is not familiar with in her former career. Thus, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear “tone-deaf” to criticism.
