  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated Archie's birthday with a video
  • The Sussexes are in Los Angeles, delivering food to those in need
  • The couple put up a new charity named Archewell

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s only bundle of joy, Archie Harrison, turned 1 on Wednesday (May 6). To celebrate the event, the Duchess of Sussex shared a new video of the child. Fans of the family didn’t just get a glimpse of the boy, but they also got a chance to hear how his mother usually calls him.

In the clip, the mom reads her baby a book called “Duck! Rabbit!” written by Tom Lichtenheld and Amy Krouse Rosenthal. While listening to Meghan, Archie adorably helped turn the pages, and this was when the former “Suits” actress revealed her son’s nickname.

“Let’s turn the page, let’s show everybody. Let’s go to the next page — look Arch!” the 38-year-old exclaimed in the video obtained by People.

At one point, Archie began to show his warm smile as well his bottom teeth. As he was listening, he got another book and threw it on the floor, prompting his proud parents to let out a giggle.

This was a welcome surprise for supporters of the Sussexes, who were last photographed in December last year. Now, the family is settling in Los Angeles, where they were said to be shopping for a new abode.

After announcing their decision to leave their senior royal roles in January, the couple has had a few projects, including their new charity, Archewell, that was named after their 1-year-old son. According to the pair, “arche” is a Greek term that means “source of action” and it was also the inspiration behind their child’s name.

Despite relocating to the U.S. in March, Markle and Prince Harry have postponed the launch of the non-profit organization. The delay, however, didn’t stop them from helping those in need during this COVID-19 pandemic that has forced people to stay home.

The Sussexes have been spotted quietly handing out meals with Project Angel Food. They also delivered food to those who could not prepare it themselves. The organization originally addressed several causes, but under the current circumstances, it chose to shift its attention to those directly affected by the outbreak.

A spokesperson for Meghan and Prince Harry explained to The Telegraph that details about the organization will be shared “when the time is right.”
