Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, recently threw shade at the Duchess of Sussex on her 37th birthday.

The book author urged Markle to celebrate her special day by sending their dad, Thomas Markle Sr., a birthday card.

“Happy Birthday Meg! It would be so lovely and appropriate for you to send DAD a BELATED birthday card for his July 18th [cake emoji] @KensingtonRoyal Cheers!” Samantha tweeted (via Express).

Samantha also posted a snide remark on her Twitter account after she learned that Markle and Prince Harry are retreating from the limelight amid the Duchess of Sussex’s family drama.

“OK, so Cruella Deville is retreating. LOL let me know how that works for you,” she wrote.

Markle has not communicated with her dad and her dad’s side of the family for weeks since the royal wedding. Thomas revealed that he has been cut off completely from his daughter’s life. The former lighting director also said that Princess Diana would’ve loathed the royal family if she knew how they have been treating him.

“I’ve just about reached my limit with Meghan and the royal family. They have Meghan treating her father in a way that Harry’s mother Princess Diana would have loathed. That’s not what Diana stood for. Princess Diana is credited for changing the royal family, but she wasn’t perfect. She was still very much one of them,” he said.

According to Daily Mail, Thomas vowed to continue talking about his daughter and the royal family until he hears from his daughter.

In related news, Markle celebrated her 37th birthday by attending Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks’ wedding in Surrey. It is unclear how Markle and Prince Harry will celebrate the Duchess of Sussex’s special day in private. Last year, the couple went to Africa for the former actress’ 36th birthday bash.
