Melania Trump received the Women of Distinction award from a small college in Florida, and she gave an eight-minute speech after accepting the recognition.

The FLOTUS read her lengthy speech through the teleprompter, and she couldn’t be more discreet. It is evident that Donald Trump’s wife was struggling while reading the words that were flashing right before her very eyes.

On multiple occasions, the first lady stopped longer than usual to make out the words that she had to read. She also buckled on some words, but she nonetheless continued on with her speech.

Political Flare journalist Andrea Jefferson called Melania’s Women of Distinction award speech terrible. She also said that the FLOTUS oftentimes struggled to read basic words through the teleprompter.

Throughout the past couple of years, the college usually gives two distinctive women the prestigious award. But this year, they decided to just give the recognition to Trump’s wife.

However, the name of the award didn’t change from Women to Woman of Distinction but Melania repeated the same mistake over and over again throughout her speech. Jefferson said that this proved that the FLOTUS is full of herself.

On Twitter, some netizens also lambasted the first lady by saying that she didn’t receive the recognition. They also questioned the qualifications set by the school on who is deserving of the award.

“Melania Trump doesn’t deserve an award unless it’s for helping to provide cover for the biggest bully in the world,” Twitter user @funder said.

“Hmm. Will she bring her Grammy or her Oscar? Oh, my bad, that was Michelle, a TRUE Woman of Distinction,” Twitter user @boxovoteblue said.

“What the hell has she done? NOTHING absolutely NOTHING for women’s rights or children’s rights. Just like they gave that metal to that white nationalist. The new thing now is to give pardons and metals to corrupt lying people and white nationalists now. What the hell country is this?” Twitter user @LolaMom6 said.
