A Michigan teacher was charged with felony criminal sexual conduct on Wednesday for sexually abusing and having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old back in 2010.

A female student accused 36-year-old Livonia resident William Jason Dean of sexual abuse that occurred in a classroom, an airplane and a secret apartment that he rented.

In a New York Post report, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said that the female student said that she and Dean engaged in sexual acts on the school grounds, at after-school events and in other locations when she was an eighth-grader in 2010.

These other locations included the student’s home in White Lake, Dean’s classroom, a rented apartment in Waterford Township where they met at least 30 times and on an airplane where Dean reportedly sexually assaulted the victim when they were flying home from an eighth grade trip to Orlando, WDIV reported.

At the time, Dean was teaching at Cedar Crest Academy in Springfield Township and also coached soccer and basketball in the school.

Dean admitted to engaging on sexual acts with the girl and said that his wife knew about the assaults.

He had no prior convictions and was teaching at Northville High School at the time of his arrest.

He was reportedly placed on administrative leave by Northville Public Schools.

Investigators were able to verify the student’s accusations with undisclosed evidence and Dean’s lawyer said that they are still waiting for the prosecutor to provide the evidence of the allegations.

Dean was put into the custody of Oakland County Jail on a $500,000 bond and is set to appear for a court hearing on Feb. 10.
