Global sports took a huge hit since the COVID-19 pandemic got out of hand.

However, some sports organizations managed to weather the storm and work through the new normal, one of which is Brave Combat Federation.

The people behind Brave CF managed to stage 12 events despite the obstacles. It is a testament that the promotion founded by His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa in 2016 would not governing conditions spoil their plans and commitment to mixed martial arts fans.

For their perseverance, Fightbook MMA awarded Brave CF the 2020 Global Promotion of the Year award for the fourth year in a row. It is fitting recognition for the company that pulled strings and weathered adversity in delivering events despite forced changes caused by the global health crisis.

It was not an easy journey for Brave CF who somehow managed to work through adversity. Despite the pandemic, the company was able to visit four countries like Slovenia, Romania, Sweden and Bahrain.

Their run continued through 2021, staging Brave CF 46 in Russia just last month.

2020 also saw the rise of new world champions under the Brave CF banner. Among those include Amin Ayoub and Mohammad Fakhreddine. New superstars also emerged through the pandemic-raged year with the likes of Rolando Dy, Muhammad Mokaev, Mochamed Machaev and Benoit Saint Denis carving a name for themselves last year.

Looking back at 2020, Brave CF managed to keep things going in the European MMA scene by staging six events in six weeks behind closed doors.

The events were timely considering other leagues and sporting bodies were scampering to hold shows that were not made easy due to strict health protocols that had to be in place.

#1 Global Promotion of the Year

Finding ways to promote cards internationally, it came as no surprise that mastering the adjustments towards staging events would be easier back home.

Brave CF held five shows at home, transforming the Kingdom of Bahrain into a hub dubbed "Kombat Kingdom."
