The Barbara Morgan mystery and the secrets Jon was keeping before his death are more confusing than ever for those he left behind, but answers may finally arrive in the Season one finale of “A Million Little Things.”

Now that Sophie (Lizzy Greene) has identified Barbara Morgan (Drea de Matteo) in some of Jon’s (Ron Livingston) old photographs from the secret apartment, his friends and wife have a lead on who this mysterious woman who was the fourth beneficiary on his secret life insurance policy is. Still, they need to figure out just who she is to Jon and what exactly she means to him—and someone will decide to search for those answers in Season 1, Episode 17, “Goodbye.”

“With questions still lingering about Jon’s death, his loved ones try to move on, each taking meaningful steps forward in their own lives,” a synopsis for the Season one finale of the ABC show reads. “As most of them begin to accept that they may never get the explanation they desire, an unexpected member of the group decides to dig even further into the mystery behind Barbara Morgan.”

A preview clip for the episode shows that the continued mysteries and things John hid will get to Delilah (Stephanie Szostak), who it seems will start wondering if it’s worth even looking into anything anymore since nothing will bring John back, but she may also be the one to finally confront the woman who has been lying to everyone about who she is.

“Let her in,” Barbara says in the preview clip after Delilah arrives at her front door.

Of course, that confrontation could prove dangerous for Delilah and her baby—or someone else could wind up in danger, as it’s been revealed in the past that one member of the core group will be leaving before the season ends—and with the episode’s title literally being “Goodbye,” it seems like it will be a big moment.

Executive Producer DJ Nash revealed to TV Line in December that the show would say goodbye to someone in Season one, revealing it was one of the characters mentioned throughout the interview—meaning it could be an official “goodbye” to Jon—or it could be Delilah, Maggie (Allison Miller), Gary (James Roday), Eddie (David Giuntoli), Katherine (Grace Park), Rome (Romany Falco), Barbara, Sophie, Danny (Chance Hurstfield), Theo (Tristan Byon) or even Ashley (Christina Ochoa).

Whether the person saying “goodbye” is also dying or saying goodbye in a different way remains to be seen.

“A Million Little Things” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
