It seemed like after a tough day that truly tested their relationship, things were finally back on track for Gary and Maggie on “A Million Little Things.” However, following the revelation that Colin is actually someone else’s missing dog, the couple may face their biggest test yet as they make a big decision.

Gary (James Roday) and Maggie (Allison Miller) seemed as if they were at their breaking point after her growing bond with Eric (Jason Ritter) led to her accidentally letting his dog, Colin, off his leash. The dog seemed to be missing and the entire group banded together to find him on the ABC series, and while he did eventually turn up in the trash room at Gary’s apartment complex, the search also led to Eddie (David Giuntoli) finding a flyer of Colin, showing he belonged to another family, and he went missing at the time Gary found him and took him in. Now, Maggie has told him that information, and though he is hesitant, it appears Gary will be forced to come to terms with saying goodbye to another best friend in Season 2, Episode 7, “Ten Years.”

“Maggie helps Gary make a difficult decision about his dog, Colin,” a synopsis for the episode reads.

Of course, as Gary prepares to say goodbye to his furry best friend, things will be reaching a boiling point for other members of the group as well, with everyone getting together to honor Theo (Tristan Byon) on his 10th birthday. While the event will be worth celebrating in more ways than one, however, it will also force the issues between Delilah (Stephanie Szostak), Eddie and Katherine (Grace Park) to the surface once again, with the three disagreeing over whether or not being open to everyone—specifically their individual kids—with the truth about baby Charlie is the right move to make.

“Delilah, Eddie and Katherine are at an impasse about revealing the truth about Charlie,” the synopsis states.

As evidenced by a preview clip for the episode (see above), the confrontation between the women, in particular, will get heated, as Delilah tries to defend her desire to keep the truth a secret because of her losing her husband when Jon (Ron Livingston) committed suicide, but Katherine refuses to back down, noting how Delilah’s affair with Eddie nearly cost her and Theo and husband and father as well.

Will the three ever come up with a solution to the problem that they feel works for all of them, or will they continue at an impasse and the truth will come out in a way none of them can control?

“A Million Little Things” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
