Just as things seemed to be calming down for the group and it felt like things could finally settle down, a whole new world of pain will come and affect Jon’s friends and family as they’re forced to deal with yet another heartbreaking death on “A Million Little Things.”

New tensions have formed as Eddie (David Giuntoli) and Katherine (Grace Park) battle with Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) about revealing the truth regarding baby Charlie on the ABC series, while Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina (Christina Moses) have been handling the secret about PJ (Chandler Riggs). However, everything will come to a halt as they all gather together to once again mourn following a death.

“The group must come together after a devastating loss,” a synopsis for the episode reads.

The episode also guest stars Lou Beatty Jr. (Walter) and L. Scott Caldwell (Renee), as well as Jay Pharaoh (Omar), who fans know are Rome’s parents and brother, which suggests the loss could be within their family. However, Drea de Matteo is also returning as Barbara Morgan, which could also suggest the death affects PJ.

However, once again, this won’t be the only drama affecting the group, as Gary (James Roday) and Maggie (Allison Miller) are once again handed another issue that threatens their relationship.

“A fellowship opportunity for Maggie forces Gary to reconsider his own future,” the synopsis states.

After issues following Maggie’s growing relationship with Eric (Jason Ritter), who had her brother’s heart, nearly ripped them apart and led to Maggie almost losing Gary’s dog, Colin, the couple seemed to finally be on the way back to a sense of normalcy, especially after Maggie’s move where she pretended to give Colin back to his original owners, but actually switched him with the identical dog at the shelter and allowed Gary to keep his beloved pet. However, this new wrench could blow everything up for them as a result.

“A Million Little Things” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
