Police in Prairie Village, Missouri, conducted new searches Wednesday of the home and business of a woman reported missing since June 2019.

Prairie Village Police Capt. Ivan Washington said officers searched the home of Angela Green, 52, and her place of work as part of the ongoing search for her. He described the search as a “fact-finding mission,” but didn’t provide any additional details into the search.

“At this point, we are still working a missing persons’ investigation,” Washington said. “Nothing says this will not change to a criminal investigation, but as we sit here right now, it's a missing persons.”

The search, which followed early efforts to find Green, was not as fruitful as Washington said investigators hoped.

“We've received some conflicting statements regarding her whereabouts that's concerning to us as an organization and at this point we're looking for help from the community,” Washington said.

Green was last reportedly seen leaving her home in Prairie Village on June 19 when she disappeared. However, she wasn’t reported missing until February because neighbors said they thought she had left the country for the summer.

“The summer came up and Angela wasn't out as usual,” one neighbor, Steven Harville, told reporters. “I had asked other neighbors and they thought maybe she had gone to China. She's from China.”

Police began their investigation into Green after a relative reported her missing on Feb. 18. They said they hadn’t heard from Green in months and were concerned about her safety.

Harville said police arrived at Green’s home shortly after the investigation began to speak with her husband.

“[Police] went into the house through the garage with him, stayed inside quite a while that I did pay attention to that and then they came out the front door,” Harville said. “They went down where you're parked. They talked for quite a little while, came back, knock on the door and went in for another hour.”

Green is described as an Asian female, 5-foot-9, 116 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
