Known for producing some of the best mixed martial arts (MMA) athletes in the world, Belarus is pinning its hopes on hometown hero Vadim Kutsyi to lead the way.

The blue-chip super welterweight will be among the fighters on tap when BRAVE CF 51: The Future is Here takes place at the 4,000-seater Falcon Club Arena on Friday, June 4.

He will stake his eight-fight winning run against a debuting Daniyar “Doni” Abdibaev in a three-round showdown.

It will be the first live event in the Belarusian capital of Minsk, something that will rekindle the nation’s knack of producing outstanding talent that dates back to the early 2000s.

Kutsyi will be looking to continue the tradition of upholding honor for the country. Other fighters who have done that in the past include the likes of Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski, Alexei “Brick” Kudin, Dmitry Voitov and Igor Litoshik.

"This upcoming BRAVE CF event has caused a huge response in Belarus. There are a lot of posters around the city, people constantly send my photos from the poster, even those whom I don't know and who were not interested in MMA before,” Kutsyi stated. “This is an indicator that BRAVE CF is doing great work to develop and promote not only their organization, but also their fighters.”

The Academy MMA member feels that BRAVE CF is on the right track and pulls off something previous promotions failed to do.

Known for building talents from the grassroots level, the Bahrain-based outfit continues its initiative of venturing into untapped European markets like Slovenia and Romania.

"Different organizations used to hold tournaments and events in Belarus, but they haven’t had such a scale as BRAVE CF,” Kutsyi stated. “Holding an important event like this one in Belarus is a very big step towards the development of Belarusian MMA.”

With the stage set, Kutsyi is confident that BRAVE CF has put a key foot down in Europe, making it difficult for its competitors to knock the aforementioned organization off as the MMA frontrunner in the region.

"For BRAVE CF, this is another step towards expanding their borders and capturing Europe,” he shared. “BRAVE CF held a lot of events in Europe, even in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe the best is yet to come for them.”
