American singer Mod Sun has created a heartwarming post with PDA-filled photos in celebration of the 38th birthday of his fiancée, pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne.

Sun, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, posted two photos on Instagram Tuesday. In the first one, the couple can be seen sharing a kiss while sporting black outfits. In the second photo, one can see Sun kissing Lavigne on her forehead. They are wearing matching pink outfits and holding red roses.

These pictures came with a lengthy caption in which Sun expressed his love for the "Complicated" singer.

"When I close my eyes it's you I see," he wrote. "You're the reason why my heart still beats. My love is yours eternally. I live inside each memory. Your eyes light up the darkest night. Your kiss inspires the words I write. Your touch is all I need in life."

Sun added that "someday soon" Lavigne, whom he called his "mother f--king princess" in the same post, would be his wife. The 35-year-old singer also confessed that Lavigne makes him a "better" person.

"I'd whisper 'I love you' with my last breath. There's so many words I wanna say, to my stunningly gorgeous fiancé," he said further. "I'll leave it at this till we runaway....Baby I wish you a happy birthday."

Sun went on to call Lavigne his "soulmate," before adding, "You are such a gift in this world + to say I'm lucky to share a life with you is the understatement of the century...not to mention you are also the most beautiful woman that's ever walked this earth."

He then recalled how they have made "so many memories" together in the last two years, noting that "it's just the start."

The comments section of Sun's post was quickly flooded with comments from fellow celebs who couldn't help but gush over the couple and their love for one another while also wishing Lavigne a happy birthday.

One of them was radio personality Gabrielle Symon, who wrote, "Real love story ❤️❤️❤️❤️ happy birthday Avril!"

Fans also took the opportunity to send their birthday messages to the "Sk8er Boi" singer.

Sun and Lavigne began dating in February 2021. The couple made their relationship Instagram official in September of the same year. They got engaged in April this year.
