Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 29th annual Princess Grace Awards Gala in New York on Tuesday, along with many Hollywood celebrities.

The Princess Grace Awards Gala was started in 1982 following the death of former American actress Grace Kelly, who became the Princess of Monaco or Princess Grace after marrying Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, in April 1956.

As a tribute to the legacy of Princess Grace, the Princess Grace Awards Gala is dedicated to “identifying and assisting emerging talent in theater, dance, and film by awarding grants in the form of scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships.”

Monaco’s royal family members have been an important part of the ceremony and this year’s gala was no exception as Princess Grace’s newlywed son and daughter-in-law graced the event.
