Here's some good news for the owners of Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx. The company has updated its timeline for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) updates for a number of devices, including the Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx that are expected to receive their ICS scoop before the end of the second quarter.

According to the updated timeline, the RAZR brothers will be accompanied by the 3G model of the Xoom, which should also get the official ICS update in Q2. Apart from these three devices, a number of other devices like the Droid Bionic, the Droid 4 and both the 8.2-inch and 10.1-inch versions of the Xyboard will be upgraded to Android 4.0 in the third quarter.

However, Motorola also confirmed that Droid 3 and Droid X2 won't get the ICS update and will remain on Android 2.3 for good. While Photon 4G is expected to receive the update in Q4, Electrify is listed as being in the Evaluation & Planning stage with further details to follow.
