When viewers tuned into “My 600-LB Life” Season 8 on Wednesday night, they were reunited with Charity and Charly Pierce. At the beginning of their Season 5 episode, the mother and daughter had a combined weight of 1,160 pounds.

According to Facebook updates, the Charity and Charly have had their fair share of ups and downs but have remained committed to their weight loss journeys.

When viewers first met Charity, she was 770 pounds and desperate to get her weight under control. However, Charity’s journey became even more difficult after her mother died, and her size kept her from being able to attend the funeral.

To make matters worse, she learned that her fiancé had cheated on her with her sister. According to Distractify, Charity accidentally overdosed on painkillers, and her drinking eventually damaged her relationship with Charly.

However, with Dr. Nowzarada’s help, she was able to get to a better place in life. According to her Facebook page, Charity has dropped 540 pounds, which means her weight is now around 230 pounds.

Charly is pretty active on Facebook and has posted several full-body photos that reveal she has remained dedicated to her weight journey. Despite her continued progress off-camera, both Charly and Charity appeared unhappy with the way they were portrayed on camera.

Before their episode of “My 600-LB Life” Season 8 aired, Charly shared a cryptic post on Facebook and revealed it would make sense once her friends watch the episode. “Two things I wanna clarify. 1. I didn’t eat actual food for two months. 2. I’ve never abandoned anyone. That is all,” she wrote.

In the comment section, Charity replied, “They just lie.”

Although Charity and Charly may be unhappy with the TLC series, it hasn’t stopped their weight loss journey.

“My 600-LB Life” Season 8 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
