'My Hero Academia' Chapter 289 Postponed; Spoilers, New Release Date Revealed: A Major Clash

The League of Villains members are going after the heroes in the current Paranormal Liberation arc and a major battle is expected. But fans will have to wait. The release of "My Hero Academia" Chapter 289 is likely to be postponed to Nov. 1.

Manga Plus or Viz are yet to confirm the delay. Twitter user Atsushi tweeted an update regarding the manga going on a break after releasing "My Hero Academia" Chapter 288.

The manga will be on a break in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 47 and will resume in issue 48.

"My Hero Academia" Chapter 289 is set to showcase the fight between Himiko Toga and Ochako Uraraka. Toward the end of Chapter 287, Gigantomachia rampages through the city along with the League of Villains.

Gigantomachia and other villains want to reunite with Tomura Shigaraki. Dabi finds out that Shigaraki is battling against Endeavor. He informs Skeptic that they must prepare to defeat the fake Hero Society.

Meanwhile, Mr. Compass notices Toga standing dangerously close to the edge. He asks if she is fine. He knows that Toga is looking for Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, and other heroes.

Toga wonders where do the heroes draw the line. She asks Mr. Compass if heroes were supposed to save people, why was Jin murdered. She wants to know if Midoriya or Uraraka will kill her too. She adds that she wants answers from the heroes.

"My Hero Academia" Chapter 288 is expected to address the cliffhanger in the first few pages. The latest spoilers tease that Toga will use her Quirk to change into an old woman and lure Uraraka.

She asks Uraraka to help her carry her sleeping husband, named Takeo. Since she is an old lady, Uraraka helps her out. However, Toga returns to her regular form and attacks Uraraka.

The villain confesses to her that she likes her and wants to be like her. Uraraka is angry and warns Toga that she will capture her if she interferes with her evacuation mission.
