All of the parents on “Nashville” Season 4 will find themselves in trouble. While Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) is in rehab to deal with her postpartum depression, Rayna (Connie Britton) has to balance her work and family life in episode 8, titled “Unguarded Moments.” According to the synopsis, her ex Luke (Will Chase) will try to do the same.

Maddie (Lennon Stella) has been desperate to start performing professionally, but Rayna doesn’t want to thrust her daughter into the spotlight yet. However, Maddie’s decision to go on stage with Juliette a couple weeks ago made a major record label take notice, something Rayna won’t be happy about. She “wants to turn down Sony’s contract offer for Maddie to be a solo artist,” the synopsis states, but she needs to deal with her kids and her artists.

Markus (Riley Smith) is still quite demanding. She “finds her family life distracting her from her work with Markus,” the synopsis teases. The egotistic singer won’t appreciate Rayna’s struggles, but Luke might be able to relate. He’ll be “desperate to regain Colt’s [Keean Johnson] trust” after he didn’t quite believe Colt’s accusation that Juliette was on the roof with Jeff (Oliver Hudson).

Elsewhere, Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) will be on tour. Though actress Scout-Taylor Compton told International Business Times that her character, Erin, and Scarlett would probably get along, it sounds like they’ll have some trouble on the road. “Gunnar’s girlfriend, Erin, causes issues on tour with Scarlett,” the summary reveals.

Gunnar’s roommate, Avery (Jonathan Jackson), will still be at home trying to take care of baby Cadence. His money struggles won’t make parenting any easier. He’ll start “doing insipid jingles” to make some cash fast.
