Dwight Howard stated that he has already moved on from his personal problems.

Prior to reuniting with the Los Angeles Lakers, Howard has already been one of the hottest buzz in the NBA. Different issues were brought up pertaining to how Howard would fit in with the current Lakers team. NBA veteran and former Lakers Jimmy Jackson once stated that Lakers’ move to sign Howard would be good if the 10-time All Star is “mentally and physically” healthy.

In his exclusive interview with “Fair Game,” Howard opened up about his off-court difficulties. According to him, he used to get upset back then whenever he hears criticism. After years of being criticized, Howard is now confident that he knows how to deal with such issues.

Howard pointed out that he learned to focus on what really matters most. And in his own words, Howard said that what’s more important is who he think he is and not what other people think. “It only matters about who I think I am. For the longest it was really hard for me to actually realize that,” Howard said.

However, the 6-foot-11 NBA star also admitted that the process wasn’t easy at all. Howard said that coming into the league at 17 or 18 years old was really hard. As a young athlete, he had to enter a world full of things he was “never accustomed to.”

As time passed by, Howard learned to accept that he will really have to face criticisms as an NBA star. And at this point, he’s already used to it. “It’s not fair or unfair, I just think that it’s just their perception,” Howard said.

Now that Howard insists that he already knows how to handle off-court issues, the newest Lakers star could be suggesting that none of these will affect the team next season.

During the same interview, Howard also revealed that he had his best moments in NBA with the Lakers. All told, Howard appears to prove that he will be a much better Laker this time around.

It is widely known in the NBA that Kobe Bryant and Howard did not quite have a good relationship as teammates. However, Howard squashed the beef with Bryant and said that he also took Bryant’s comment about him as a learning lesson.

Next season, Howard will once again represent the Purple and Gold. This time he will join another NBA superstar LeBron James. After stating that he’s a completely changed man, Howard is expected to have a better working relationship with James and not repeat the same mistakes he did with Bryant.
