Days after making the All-NBA team this season, Hornets' star Kemba Walker has become a target for more teams besides the Lakers and the Knicks.

Earlier this month, Walker was linked to teams that are actively hunting talents from the free agency list. Among the most active ones are the Los Angeles Lakers, which have been hitting the NBA news regularly with updates regarding their pursuit of players to join their current household star LeBron James. Joining the fray are the New York Knicks, the team which reports claimed to be very close to sealing a deal with Kevin Durant.

Things may have really affected Walker's career positively after the Hornets' star point guard made the All-NBA team this season.

First, Walker being qualified in the All-NBA team makes him eligible for a supermax contract, which is possible because his current team Hornets are reportedly capable of offering Walker this deal should things go well for both parties, according to Clutch Points.

While a supermax deal is now inevitable, more fresh and positive news has come for Walker. Steve Kyler posted that for DeMarcus Cousins, the market is unstable, but with Walker, aside from the Lakers and the Knicks, the Orlando Magic and the Indiana Pacers have already expressed their interest in the all-star point guard, Sporting News reported.

Currently, Walker has yet to release a statement regarding his decision or his preferred team, but reports claimed that the Lakers are continuously being linked to the 29-year old all-star.

Should the Lakers succeed in acquiring Walker, it can be expected that a twist of events concerning the current no. 4 pick of the team can happen. LeBron James, who has been reportedly searching for new stars to join him in LA, has not released a statement yet with regards to Walker, but as of now, everything is uncertain.

Walker is considered as one of the best point guards in the NBA today alongside Damian Lillard, Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving. The all-star point guard has been a key factor who helped the Hornets win 39 games this season. But despite having a quite steady season, Walker and the Hornets fell at the no. 9 seed in the Eastern Conference, making Walker miss the playoffs.

With more stars hitting the free agency list this offseason and the 2019 NBA Draft fast approaching, the feeling remains that big deals and trades are about to happen.
