The bond that holds LeBron James and Dwyane Wade is something that most are aware of, meaning it would take a lot to break it. This means that even if D-Wade was not at that Memorial Day party that the King threw, folks who plan to make a big thing out of it need to the necessary investigation.

As reported by USA Today, James celebrated Memorial Day weekend by listening to D.J. Meel with some notable NBA stars in attendance. Among those present include Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, and Tristan Thompson. Noticeably absent were Wade and Carmelo Anthony, two other close buddies of the three-time NBA champion. Rather than research or do some investigating, an online site insinuated that there could be a brewing rift between James and Wade.

Apparently, Wade saw the whole claim and made a classic response to Sauce & Shram. He said sarcastically that the tweet was right and that he was sending over the friendship papers in the mail from Greece. The reporter forgot to consider the fact that Wade may be busy someplace else or had other plans that weekend, Heat Nation reported. In short, there is no rift of any sort, to begin with.

Wade played out his last NBA season and is currently trying to adjust to life after basketball. The whole thing has not been easy on the 37-year-old who is trying to get used to post-retirement with the help of his wife, Gabrielle Union. The retired NBA star plans to undergo therapy sessions to help him out and become a full-time father to Kaavia James who was born back in November.

From the looks of it, Wade will eventually get used to his life after 17 years playing NBA ball. It remains to be seen if he will end up landing front-office or coaching role in the future although Wade did say that coaching is not in his immediate plans, The New York Post reported back in March.

“I don’t think so,” Wade said when asked if he envisions himself coaching. “I don’t know what the future holds. It’s not in my immediate plans.”

If not that, Wade may consider doing commentary as a TV analyst. ESPN and TNT are reportedly considering the fifth overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft. With his likable personality and knowledge, seeing Wade call games makes plenty of sense but perhaps only once he has settled down after closing the curtains of his colorful NBA career.
