Halloween is just around the corner and October offers horror fans extra incentive to binge on movies.

Whether the plan is to stream an epic slasher flick alone or invite friends over for a day of heart-racing thrillers, Netflix has plenty of movies that will keep any horror film buff entertained.

From "It" to "The Conjuring 2," here are 13 of the best horror movies to watch on Netflix this year.

"It"

The 2017 adaptation based on the Stephen King novel of the same name tells the story of a group of outcasts forced to face their fears and a murderous clown known as Pennywise, who preys on the town's children every 27 years.

The Warrens are once again asked to help a family in need after a girl unknowingly releases a malicious spirit in their home.

"Ouija: Origin of Evil"

When a woman posing as a medium adds an Ouija board to her set of props, her daughter unleashes a demon while trying to communicate with her late father.

"Hush"

A deaf writer's attempt at a solitary life in the woods falls apart when a masked killer appears in her window.

"Insidious: Chapter 2"

As the Lambert family recovers from their son's recent possession by evil spirits, Renai realizes her husband is battling a few demons of his own.

"1922"

In another adaption of a King novel, a man kills his wife to stop her from selling their farm. However, her murder has disturbing consequences for the family.

"Unfriended"

A group of friends, whose cyberbullying resulted in a classmate's suicide, try to unmask the identity of an online stalker that wants to make them pay.

"Countdown"

After a nurse downloads an app that predicts the user's time of death, she has three days to change her fate while being haunted by a mysterious figure.

"The Wretched"

A teen boy finds himself in a battle with the evil spirit of an ancient witch, who has possessed a member of the family living next door.

"The Boy"

When a nanny is hired by a couple to care for their son, she is shocked to learn the child she will be taking care of is a doll. After she fails to follow the couple's instructions, disturbing events lead her to believe the doll is alive.

"Brahms: The Boy II"

The sequel follows a family's move into a new home, where their son discovers a doll called Brahms and develops a bond with the evil lifelike toy.

"The Bye Bye Man"

"Don't say it, don't think it!" Those are the only words that may help three college students survive a visit from the Bye Bye Man after they unwittingly unleash the supernatural killer.

"​Malevolent"

The Netflix original tells the story of a brother and sister who fake their expertise in the paranormal field and take a job at a haunted estate, where the evil spirits turn out to be terrifyingly real.
