Facebook is testing a feature that acts like a newspaper under a rocket ship icon next to the newsfeed tab.

A screenshot of the feature was tweeted Sunday by Ryan Hoover:

“It's basically a condensed News Feed of links and videos,” tweeted Hoover. “It's a newspaper.”

In a statement to International Business Times, Facebook said it is running a small test on the platform.

The feature works as a second News Feed tab tailored by content relevant to what the user likes and watches on Facebook. The feature would make it easier for people to “explore” new content, a Facebook spokesperson said.

“We are testing a complementary feed of popular articles, videos, and photos, customized for each person based on content that might be interesting to them,” a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement. “We've heard from people that they want an easy way to explore new content they haven't connected with yet.”

Facebook usually tests features on users, some are launched and others never take off. The social media site was recently testing a feature to save videos for offline viewing on Android apps. It was also testing a new look for comments, which features a bubbly Messenger-like design.
